Hater of My Anxiety
Hello! I am Rachael, a Denver based creative nonfiction writer. My love of reading and writing was born from The Berenstain Bears and The Baby-Sitter’s Club, developed through Christopher Pike, and refined from an English degree that helped me to discover writing greats such as Margaret Atwood, Alice Hoffman, John Krakauer, and Cheryl Strayed.
I am a believer in “signs from the universe” and love taking life’s coincidences and turning them into a stories. I use all of my life’s experiences, whether derived from following the band Phish around North America, teaching English in South Korea, or suffering from deep and extended periods of mental duress, to weave transparent tales I hope my readers can not only relate to, but enjoy as well. My intent is to place my readers in the pages of each story through sensory and emotional detail.
I’m an extrovert and love meeting new people and engaging in conversation with others, be it about a new hiking trail, a band playing in town, a dog I need to meet, or a must read book. Please get in touch with me so we can connect!
